Welcome to the Friends of Launceston Priory website


The Priory has been at Newport since 1155

Funding has been received for works to the Priory and one of the conditions of the funding was the setting up of a Friends Group to encourage people to visit the Priory and to provide them with information and education about the Priory.

HISTORY OPEN DAY - Friday 3rd July 2009 4pm-8pm
To celebrate the history of the Priory ruins and their importance in the development of Launceston.
Come along and be surprised at the wealth of local knowledge, bring along your own papers and memories of the Priory ruins.
Listen to someeminent speakers and Historians on a range of subjects relating to the Priory and the town.
